Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 was a scheduled international passenger flight that disappeared on March 8, 2014, while en route from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing, China, with 239 people on board. MH370 took off from Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 12:41 a.m. on March 8, 2014, and was scheduled to arrive in Beijing at 6:30 a.m. the same day. However, less than an hour into the flight, the plane's transponder and other communication systems were turned off. The plane then deviated from its planned route and turned westward. It flew for several hours before disappearing from radar screens.

After the disappearance of MH370, an international search effort was launched in the southern Indian Ocean, where it was believed the plane had crashed. The search involved dozens of ships and planes from several countries, and covered an area of over 120,000 square kilometers. Despite these efforts, no trace of the plane was found for several years.

The Malaysian government launched an investigation into the disappearance of MH370, which was led by the Malaysian Department of Civil Aviation. The investigation concluded that the plane had likely crashed in the southern Indian Ocean, but the exact cause of the crash remains unknown.

In the absence of concrete evidence, there have been many theories put forward about what might have happened to MH370. Some theories suggest that the plane was hijacked, while others propose that it crashed due to a mechanical or technical malfunction. There are also theories that the plane was deliberately crashed, although there is no concrete evidence to support this.
